Schenker do Brasil starts successfully with SAP as first country in LATAM

After a year of intensive preparations and parallel projects that become part of the new system landscape, Schenker in Brazil went live with SAP on 1st January 2010 as the first country in the LATAM region. All operational data now feeds into a local system that handles all complex and frequently changing legal (tax) requirements, and this local system then forwards all accounting data to SAP for further processing. This has optimised a number of key business processes significantly and also prepares the organisation for further future improvements.

SAFA kick-off for rollout in the LATAM region

Due to the increased business requirements in the LATAM region it was decided to roll out SAP from 2009 onwards. With its complex system landscape, Brasil was selected as the first country in the LATAM region where SAP will be implemented. Together with the implementation of SAP, a number of other accounting and operational processes will be improved in order to meet the long term future challenges.
