Kick-off for Schenker Argentina and Chile

Schenker in Chile and Argentina have started their rollout preparations in parallel during a meeting in Santiago de Chile, but will be split later on due to the local differences. For both countries, the operational systems will also need to be enhanced to support the local functionality that SAP offers, making these rollouts challenging in different disciplines. This is also one of the reasons why the preparations are expected to take at least a year before the projects can go live.

Schenker do Brasil starts successfully with SAP as first country in LATAM

After a year of intensive preparations and parallel projects that become part of the new system landscape, Schenker in Brazil went live with SAP on 1st January 2010 as the first country in the LATAM region. All operational data now feeds into a local system that handles all complex and frequently changing legal (tax) requirements, and this local system then forwards all accounting data to SAP for further processing. This has optimised a number of key business processes significantly and also prepares the organisation for further future improvements.
