Completion of first global ERP 6.0 upgrade in the Netherlands

Schenker has initiated the global upgrade of their SAP R/3 systems at the end of 2007 and from there onwards a large project team at the Schenker head office in Essen has worked on all necessary preparations during the main part of 2008. The country organisation in The Netherlands was selected as the pilot and René Coppens acted as project manager. The upgrade was successfully completed as scheduled in November 2008 and all gained experiences will be used for the upcoming global upgrade projects. At the same time, governance procedures are introduced for the future maintenance of the ERP environment.

Successful start with SAP for Schenker-Seino in Japan

Early May, the SAP implementation project was signed off after a successful start on 1st April 2008. The local team had perfectly prepared themselves in between the end-user training and the go-live phases, which was one of the major contributions to the smooth migration. With the completion of this project, the last HAI system in the Asia Pacific region has been replaced.
